This performace was recorded live at The Main Street Independence Day Weekend Jazz Festival 1986. Scott Cossu's jazz and rhythm 'n blues influences, combined with his years of classical training and his study of ethnic music from Sudan, Thailand, China, Rumania and Ecuador all add up to produce his own unique signature sound. Since 1981, Cossu has been performing concerts worldwide and writing/recording. Set with long-time sideman, electric guitarist Van Manakas and Eddie Wood on percusion, Cossus many departures from the new age field are exhibited with a melodic blend of jazz, classical and ethnic influences.
