Sherap Dorjee and his band originate from Western Tibet and live in exile in Ladakh, an Himalayan region of Tibetan culture situated in India. Aiming to safeguard their endangered cultural heritage, they have acquired an impressive knowledge of the old lyrical repertoire. The songs are accompanied on the kovo lute, the lingbu flute, the gyumang zither... and jerrycans to replace the daf drums.
