Lila is left to her own devices when her kids leave for the summer and her husband leaves for good.

Lila is an artist and teacher who has built a modest rural paradise in New York's Catskill Mountains with her writer husband, Edgar. Soon after their teen daughters head off on summer adventures, Edgar reveals he's started a new family with another woman, leaving Lila alone for a season of anger, revenge and self re-discovery.
