Stormhaven is a French Progressive Metal Band formed in 2010 by the guitar player Zachary Nadal. After having written a few riffs he asked Regis Royer, keyboard player, met at music university, to join him. Alban Lemarié on drums and Jonathan De Freitas on bass, came to complete the line-up quickly after. They struggled for more than a year trying to find a singer but none of the contenders really suited. Finally, Zach and Regis realized that if nobody could meet their expectations, they should probably try singing themselves. This way, after some time and hard work, they became the voices of the band: Regis with a deep and heavy growl, and Zach fluctuating between a high pitched growl and clear vocals which give the progressive touch to the band.
The year 2021 marks a new start with the arrival of Thibault Faijan on drums, Julien Badier on keyboard and the release of the fourth album.

Stormhaven often name Symphony X, Opeth and Enslaved as their main influences but many other bands have inspired their work. Sometimes brutal, sometimes black or progressive, the scenery changes many times throughout a single song, keeping the listener intrigued while the band travels through multiple musical landscapes.

The band has released three albums : Mystical Journey (2014), Exodus (2017) and Liquid Imagery (2019). The fourth album, more accomplished, Blindsight, will be released April 7th 2023 with M&O Music.
