Swing Time Jive presents wild, swinging R&B and jump blues, packed with infectious rhythms, playful vocals and the energy of the jukebox era. On CD.

Swing Time Jive captures the exuberant sound of postwar rhythm & blues, bringing together hard-swinging bands, blues shouters and spirited vocalists. Featuring early sides by Ray Charles, Joe Liggins, Floyd Dixon, Mabel Scott and others, the collection moves from jump blues and boogie to novelty numbers and dance-floor workouts, celebrating the irreverent energy of the jukebox era. Now on CD.
