It's Not All That Bad/Meeting People Is Easy brings together two formative EPs by Kansas City indie-pop band The Greeting Committee, pressed on vinyl for the first time. Originally released through Harvest Records/UMG, these early recordings capture the youthful immediacy and emotionally candid songwriting that helped establish the group, combining bright, melodic indie rock with themes of relationships, uncertainty, growing up and finding connection.

The collection opens with material from the band's breakout It's Not All That Bad, including 'Your Side,' 'Hands Down,' 'Out of My Head,' 'I Don't Mind,' 'Make It Right' and 'Velveteen.' The EP introduced the band's energetic, hook-driven sound to a wider audience, with 'Hands Down' emerging as a defining early song. The second half presents Meeting People Is Easy, featuring 'Naive,' 'She's a Gun,' 'Someone Else,' 'Dancing to Nothing at All' and 'BBC,' further developing the band's blend of infectious melodies, guitar-driven indie pop and introspective lyrics.

Formed while its members were still in high school, The Greeting Committee grew from a young Kansas City band into a nationally touring act with an intensely devoted audience.
