Description
The LP version of the sophomore full length from Seattle crust-punk sludgemasters. 10 raging tracks of hardcore punk!
The Helm are no strangers to the Hex Records roster. They released their initial 7' with the label before releasing their first full length with California mainstay Indecision Records. Two national tours later The Helm found themselves at an impasse, bringing in a new rhythm section and taking a break to focus on getting the new members acclimated to the vicious sounds which they excel at. After getting comfortable and writing some new songs Hex records once again approached them to rejoin the label, which they were happy to do. The result is 'Home', the new full length recorded by Chris Common (These Arms Are Snakes) that finds the band taking new twists and turns to their tired and true gritty hardcore attack. Moving beyond the simple His Hero Is Gone comparisons and taking cues from fellow Northwest noisemongers like Kiss It Goodbye this crew makes things interesting for the noise-damaged ear, yet still makes a lot of room for 2-minute anthems of mistrust for a rotten world.
