A haunting gothic tale of immortality, rebellion and the bloody rise of a new vampyre queen

Washington, DC darkwave gothic rock band The Neuro Farm presents Vampyre, a 10-song concept album built around a dark tale of immortality, transformation, rebellion and power. The story follows a woman lured by the promise of eternal life and turned into a vampyre by the egomaniacal leader of a vampyric cult. As disillusionment grows, she gathers followers of her own, ultimately rejecting her maker and his decaying institution.

Across tracks including “Cain,” “Purity,” “Maker,” “Enthralled,” “Confession,” “Decay,” “Vampyre,” “Mortal,” “Midnight Massacre” and “Mastermind,” the album moves from the origins of the curse through seduction and transformation to the heroine’s final break with her mortal life. She ultimately confronts her former master in the Midnight Massacre, destroys him and declares herself queen.

The Neuro Farm’s blend of haunting vocal harmonies, Rebekah Feng’s violin, Brian Wolff’s guitars and bass, Tim Phillips’ synths and programming, and DreamrD’s drums and percussion gives the story a cinematic gothic backdrop. Written by Brian Wolff and Rebekah Feng, Vampyre was recorded at The Neuro Farm HQ, mixed by Wolff and mastered by Rob Early. Released October 29, 2021, Vampyre marked the first full-length Neuro Farm album featuring Tim Phillips and a major evolution of the band’s dark, atmospheric sound.
