Lost 1994 cassette-only album from Annapolis punk legends The Shit, remastered and released for the first time on CD.

Annapolis punk legends The Shit emerged from Maryland’s underground music scene in the early 1990s, building a reputation through raw, irreverent songs and shows throughout the Annapolis and Baltimore area. In 1994, the band recorded their second album, Give Up And Quit. Unlike their self-titled debut, the album was released only on cassette and sold at the band’s shows, eventually becoming a nearly impossible-to-find piece of Annapolis punk history.

Nearly three decades later, Big Curve Music obtained a copy of the original ADAT mixes directly from the band and set out to bring the long-lost album back to life. The recordings were remastered by Tim Phillips in 2022, while artist Mike Hilton created entirely new artwork after the original cassette artwork could not be located.

Featuring Psycho Mike on vocals and guitar, Chris Rolling on guitar and vocals, Alvin Tucker on bass and Mike Littleton on drums, Give Up And Quit captures The Shit during their final era with 19 short, loud and unapologetic tracks. The 2022 Big Curve Music edition gives this once cassette-only album its first-ever release on CD, preserving a little piece of Annapolis punk history that might otherwise have disappeared.
