Their journey quickly turns harrowing as they fall victim to drugging, assault, and relentless pursuit by violent outlaw bikers. Directed by Peter Perry Jr. (Hollywood High), this road movie blends the wide-open rebellion of the biker genre with a grim realism that highlights the dangers faced by women challenging societal norms in a volatile era.

This Blu-ray release presents the film in high definition for the first time, featuring a new 2K scan from the original 35mm camera negative with scene-by-scene color correction. The film also includes early cinematography by Ronald Víctor García (Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me), whose raw, sunbaked visuals enhance the film's unpolished energy. While unmistakably a product of its time--equal parts sleaze and statement--The Young Cycle Girls stands as a haunting ride through the darker edges of countercultural Americana.
