Tibor Boganyi was born Into a musical family in Hungary in 1975 and when he was five began taking cello lessons at the music school in his native Vac. His musical talent soon became apparent. and at the age of nine he won third prize in the national cello competition in Szolnok. His teacher at the renowned Kodaly Conservatory in Kecskemet was Marta Agocs. In 1993 he was admitted to the Sibel lus Academy to study with Hannu Kiiski. As an artist Boganyi has been strongly inftuenced by his teacher and by his family- and nature- oriented outlook. In 1997 Boganyi completed his diploma with distinction as soloist with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, and it was at about this time that he began his conducting studies at the Sibelius Academy. He was Chief Conductor of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra 2003-2006 Boganyi has been the winner of several major competitions, such as theInternational Leo Weiner in Hungary in 1996 and the Kuhmo International Trio Competition in 1999, with hiS pianist brother Gergely and violinist Barnabas Kelemen. He has furthered his studies in masterclasses with such renowned professors as Arto Noras, Daniil Shafran and Miklos Perenyi and has held many solo engagements, most recently in Dohnanyi's Konzertstuck with the Matav Symphony Orchestra at the Budapest Liszt Academy. He has also appeared in many other European countries, in South Africa, China and the United States. Agnes Zaszkaliczky was born Budapest in 1980. She started playing the piano at the age of six at the Tihamer Vujicsics Music School in Szentendre, and from 1994 to 1998 she majored in the organ at the Bela Bart6k College of Music in Budapest, where her teacher was Lillo Szathmory. Admitted to the Salzburg Mozarteum in 1998, she spent six years in the masterclass of Daniel Chorzempo, obtaining a Moster's degree in organ in 2004. In 2006 she was appointed Artistic Director of the International Organ Festival in Oradea (Nagyvorad. Romania). She regularly gives both solo and chamber recitals.
