Leading his 'West By Northwest' band of five years on this live date, bass player Tom Wakeling focuses on doing what he loves most: propelling the music forward with great bass lines and irrepressible energy. Tom's bass steps out front on a couple of tracks, but this album is really about a band that reflects a deep understanding of jazz and its rich history. And it is a band, for sure!

The recording came together when the band performed before a live audience at the amazing Ravenscroft Center in Scottsdale, AZ. Upon arriving for the sound check, they learned that the live show could be recorded in both audio and three-camera video, so they went for it! It turned out so well that they felt compelled to release this live album.
