Description

In a world filled with both beauty and sorrow, Trio Sfera opens a gateway to a sphere of sensuality - full of light, hope and inner movement.

With the debut album, „Verschwiegene Lieder' (Silent Songs), Trio Sfera embarks on a journey into undefined realms. Rooted in classical music, they playfully transcend stylistic boundaries - always guided by the curiosity to explore how new aesthetic landscapes can emerge from form and sound.

Kurt Weill's „Youkali' transforms into a dreamily flowing tango habanera. Richard Strauss's 'Morgen' (Morning) sounds like a delicate ballad.

Franz Schubert's 'Hungarian Melody,' originally composed for solo piano in 1824, now meanders lightly with clarinet and cello. Joy and melancholy alternate - a floating dance of two souls in perfect harmony.

In „Tu Madre' and „Canción y Danza,' the trio delves into Sephardic and Spanish musical traditions. The new interpretations reflect a longing for lightness and profound insight.

With „Oscar,' saxophonist and clarinetist Norbert Nagel composed a quiet homage to life, to the magic of beginnings, and to music as a language of connection.

'Assyrian Woman Mourners' is intended less for the concert hall than for inner listening. It invites the listener to delve into another time, another world. The title alludes to the ritual laments of Assyrian women: music as an expression of pain and simultaneously as a bridge to the transcendent.

In 'Schlendern' (Strolling) the song poet Konstantin Wecker joins the trio. His voice wanders narratively through the delicate soundscapes. Their shared playing is a gentle journey, through thoughts, through memories, through what was, and what may yet be.

Thus, these arrangements of works by renowned masters, as well as the trio's own compositions, result in highly individual instrumental tone poems. The music unfolds in a new, unexpected dimension - fragile and powerful at once. The sonic diversity and the art of improvisation become the unmistakable trademark of Trio Sfera - an ensemble that, in a classical lineup, has found its own unique, timeless language.
