Description
When the Potter family moves into a new San Francisco apartment building, young Wendy Potter begins acting strangely--possessed by an ancient evil force. Unbeknownst to her family, Wendy has been taken over by Torok, a powerful troll wizard from a magical realm. Torok seeks to reshape the human world into a kingdom of mystical creatures, one apartment at a time.
As Torok begins transforming the building's eccentric tenants into fantastical beings--goblins, fairies, and woodland monsters--each apartment unit turns into a bizarre, enchanted ecosystem. The only person who notices the growing strangeness is teenage Harry Potter Jr., Wendy's older brother. As the building becomes a twisted labyrinth of vines, glowing fungi, and magical creatures, Harry turns to Eunice St. Clair, an elderly tenant with a mysterious past.
Eunice reveals that she is a centuries-old witch who once knew Torok in his human form. She teaches Harry about the ancient war between humans and magical creatures, and arms him with a magical spear to combat the spreading curse. With her guidance, Harry must navigate a world of illusion and danger to save his sister and stop Torok before the troll's enchanted domain consumes the entire building--and possibly the world.
Filled with inventive practical effects, puppetry, and a mix of horror and fantasy, Troll blends fairy-tale whimsy with eerie creature horror. As Harry faces off against trolls, nymphs, and even a monstrous bat-like beast, the film builds to a magical showdown that tests courage, love, and the balance between two worlds.
