A moving and jubilant communion of tricontinental cultures

For their tenth Buda Musique release, and to mark 30 years of fruitful collaboration with the label, Viviane Arnoux (France) and François Michaud (Quebec), founders of the Musique Acoustique Machine Company, join forces with virtuoso guitarist Hervé Samb (Senegal) for a moving and jubilant communion of tricontinental cultures. Traditional melodies and rhythms intermingle, reinventing and transcending each other to give birth to a music that is full of energy and permeated with sparkling improvisations.

The three artists of the trio and their guest, singer Maude Trutet, fly us away on a poetic journey to discover each other, to merge and blossom... with a cheerful whistle.

Guest Vocalist Maude Trutet is a singer and multi-instrumentalist with an eclectic background, trained in musicology and influenced by a wide range of styles from experimental contemporary music to traditional Indian music. She founded the group L'Effet Défé, which won a prize at the 2010 Progawards. Her first solo album, Mood, was hailed by the media. In 2016, she came to prominence in The Voice, and her voice was chosen to play the role of the goddess Nike for the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
