Pianist and singer Walter Davis was one of the most popular Blues stars on record during the 30's and the early 40's. 17 of his most popular jukebox hits are featured on this collection including his first the 'M & O Blues' that caused a sensation in 1930. Walter Davis' songs were a great influence over the emerging electric Chicago Blues of the late 40's especially on Muddy Waters.
