Autumn arrives at last! As birds set out on their long flight to warmer climates, we follow the change of season through the eyes of the Verdies. When the water rats launch a surprise attack against the Verdies and all creatures around the Lake, two enemy nations, the Grimps and Verdies, have no chance against the rats--unless they make peace and jointly defend their homes and land. But nothing can stop Willy Whistle from realising his lifelong dream of becoming a guard.
